Hello Again!

It has been a great first month of ministry! We have had some great teams out, each and everyone have been greatly different but each has also made a huge impact on the neighborhood for Jesus Christ. The light of Jesus Christ has surely shown. Not only have we seen the great impact personally on many lives, we have seen the ministry take some greatly needed improvements. There has been much painting, repairs and general cleaning, leaving a freshness that is seen and felt.

Finally, we have seen many young people on each team go home forever changed! Isn’t this what missions is all about, changed lives for Jesus Christ?

The weather was always different. One week it never got above 70 degrees, the next it rained on and off, and the third it was stifling heat and humidity (heat indexes in the 100’s), and yet each week many youth and young people came out. Your prayers and support are making a difference in many lives!

Continue to pray that God will continue to work in each young person that has come through the gates, the youth both on the teams and from the neighborhoods are many and diverse ranging from age 4 up to 25. Pray that as each goes their own way, their lives will have been greatly changed for Jesus Christ both personally and in reaching others with the same message of salvation and love.

I want to thank you also for your many prayers as I spoke with the youth (100 plus) at the “Living Water” Chinese Mandarin Church. God surely was present and his voice was heard. I know that it was due to so many saints on their knees praying, Thank You!

We finally closed on a bank foreclosed two flat we will be using to train many of the older high school and college age young men in the trades. This is designed as a tool to specifically reach out to those involved in our bible studies and outreach in furthering their discipleship. If you would like to be part of this outreach we would love to have you come alongside of us in whatever manner you can, whether hands on, materially or financially.

And finally, I have had the great joy of having my nephew, Zachery from Wyoming out for half the summer. He has been a quick learner, a big help and a joy to have around. Continue to pray with us that he will be greatly impacted by all he that he is involved in, that the Holy Spirit will make an impact on him that lasts a lifetime and that his life will be changed and deepened for Jesus Christ. Both my daughters Mikayla and Katlyn have also joined us, along with Zachery for the summer here in south Chicago in reaching others for Jesus Christ.
