Comprised of Holiness
Before we can pursue God in any of the other areas, we have to be holy, cleansed, and pure. God uses that vessel He has complete control of, even though it is a work of gradual development.
Surrounded in Prayer
Prayer is the intercourse of the soul with God, not in contemplation or meditation, but in direct address to him. Prayer may be oral or mental, occasional or constant, on the spot or formal.
Grounded in Scripture
Scripture is solid and irrefutable, worldly wisdom is mush and ultimately destructive.
Full of Discipline
Without discipline no amount of preparation matters. We need discipline to prepare, to go, and to finally fight the spiritual battle we are all in.
Spent with Compassion
Compassion not only comes from seeing the outward needs of a person but also by seeing the heart as God sees the heart, then expressed in deeds which may involve personal sacrifice.
Looked upon as God’s servant an ambassador of His Kingdom
A servant of God in everything, representing God in relationships, justice, restoration, and jubilation, to do harm to one of his ambassadors is like declaring war on God himself.
Known by Faith
Faith is the divine testimony, not the reasonableness of what God says, but the simple fact that he says it. Faith rests immediately on, “Thus says the Lord.”
