GENERAL PURPOSE
Activities:
The youth center is based on the design of a bicycle rim. The hub is the Bible training Each spoke would be the many different activities used to reach each persons need The outer rim would be the complete person Bible training Bible studies, biblical mentoring, youth leading by example and teaching Counseling Provides services to support the youth, both as an individual and as a group The counseling would assist each individual or group as the problem related to the family, community, and society at large Outreach Create positive relationships between the youth and the community. Encourage and support participation between the youth and the community Vocational and Educational Training Provide career opportunities and career goals for each youth Help in securing tutors, a skills resource bank among youth, locating grants and scholarships for college bound youth, and assisting others into vocational schools Train youth for a ministry in the secular field or a church related field (youth center, church, camp, ranch or other related field). Recreation Cover all recreational opportunities and potential expansion of existing activities
By Whom:
The board of directors will oversee the complete youth center The center’s director will direct the different activities of the center Office and outreach staff would run the day by day actives The staff would come from colleges, high schools, churches, and the neighborhood Each staff member would go through a complete training process Local citizens will have an opportunity to put their skills to use in many different ways Businesses will also have an opportunity to help in the areas of fact finding, employment, material needs and recreation

Current Center 6647 S Union 672 W Marquette (Both on one site) Possible sites for an expanded center 1 block west of Lowe and north of 66th Street 1 block west of Halstead and North of 66th Street 1 block east of Union and north of 69th Street
What is Included:
Current Outreach Center 672 Consists of a two flat apartment building -- 1st floor houses youth activities -- 2nd floor houses visiting outreach teams and staff members 6647 Consists of a two level house -- 1st floor is used for counseling and youth meeting areas -- 2nd floor is offices -- basement is used for youth activities New Center Phase One – Lower level A full sized multipurpose gym, kitchen, swimming pool, weight room, tumbling room, and a game room Offices Meeting rooms Phase Two – Main level A amphitheater holding a minimal of 2000 people
